Chapter 3

Highlights on Chapter 3!!!😁

This chapter talks about ways to integrate technology into language arts and provides some examples on how to do it.

Technology I would integrate into my classroom:

• Reading: Have students record themselves reading on any audio software and listen to it at a convenient time!🎧
• Vocabulary: Have students create a word cloud!☁ In this way they can look up synonyms and relate the main word with the description words.
• Book Study: Have the students read the book along with informational text, then watch the movie and compare! 🎥
• Poetry: Have students work in groups and create videos for a particular poem. Make it competitive and have classes vote on the best!👍👎
• Writing: Have a class blog! Teacher would create a blog and all students would be required to correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and improve vocabulary!🙋

Chapter 3 also spoke about how to find information online such as:

1. Primary & Secondary Sources

2. How to cite sources correctly

3. How to broaden/ narrow a topic

4. Avoiding Plagiarism

I think students will really benefit from all of the technology that is being integrated into the classroom.
